Introductory: INTERCEDE

Subject: When You Intercede, You Plant A Seed

The Word tells us that Job's sons used to take turns holding feasts in their homes, and they would invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. {Job 1:4}, and when a period of feasting had run its course, Job would send and have them purified {Job 1:5}.
Early in the morning he would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, "perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts."
This was Job's regular custom. What a God fearing man Job was. But, when he lost everything that he had, Job also lost focus on his walk with the Lord to a certain extent.

However, the word tells us that even in the midst of his trials, Job fell to the ground in worship {Job 1:20} and said: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised."
In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing {Job 1:21 & 22}.

But as things got worse, Job began to waver in his walk with the Lord and we find him opening his mouth and voicing his regret of the day of his birth {Job 3:1}.
In chapter three of the book of Job, Job goes on for the next 25 verses questioning the why of his existence and he ends his long winded protest by declaring that he has no peace, no quietness, no rest and he has only turmoil.

What a terrible commentary for one who had once been blessed with so much.

However, Job had three friends who did not exactly share his perception of his condition or agree with his reaction to it.
Let's see what those three friends have to say.
